About Us

Based near Stansted airport, Elcomponent is a privately owned business specialising in automatic meter reading (sub-metering systems) and portable data loggers for energy management.

We are passionate about helping our customers reduce their carbon footprint and cut their energy costs, and we have a strong track record of doing so. Our products and services are based on the belief that carbon efficiency and cost reduction are not incompatible - both are realised by simply consuming less energy. By working closely with each customer, we turn that goal into reality.

Working from our purpose-built offices in Bishop's Stortford, we have a team of professionals supporting our field sales force and in-house installers, covering the whole of the UK. We design and manufacture our own hardware and software working closely with a number of technical partners to ensure we maintain our competitive edge through the use of state of the art technology. This provides us with a broad capability in our field - we do not have a 'one-size-fits-all' approach, preferring tailored solutions from our wide range of products. It's a philosophy that also ensures that we deliver value for money by using technology that's right for the job, and its success is reflected in the thousands of instruments and systems we have supplied since our start up in 1986.
