MOD-R Receiver

The MOD-R is a 15 channel VHF radio receiver operating on the OFCOM licensed 153 MHz frequency band. Linking to up to 15 RT COM P pulse data transmitters it provides wireless communication over distances of over 1 kilometre. The MOD-R connects directly to an RS485 MODBUS network or TCP-IP LAN and can be used as an extension of a wired system or as part of a fully wireless AMR package.

MOD-Rs are supplied with an SMA connected 'stubby' aerial but may also be used with a range of externally mounted end-fed dipole or Yagi style antennae for dramatically increased range. The use of a licenced frequency does not incur any charges for the user, but combined with a completely secure transmission algorithm it ensures reliable and safe communication at all times.
