Elcontrol Energy's new meter offers truly outstanding specification in a simple cost-effective package. The unique bright red backlit LCD immediately sets the unit apart from its competitors, as does its performance and accuracy. All models offer both pulse and multi-protocol RS485 MODBUS outputs as standard for seamless integration into any type of data acquisition system, along with multi-parameter measurement which includes THD (Total Harmonic Distortion). The STAR3 also displays neutral current accurately even when harmonics are present which makes it ideal for applications where power quality may be poor. For more detailed power quality analysis the STAR3 Harmo offers full harmonic analysis to the 25th multiple (50Hz systems) at a very modest price increase over the standard product. All STAR3s are fully programmable and can be used on 3 phase or single phase systems including cogeneration applications. Dual relay outputs can be programmed as pulses, alarms or control contacts depending on the application. A 4-20mA analogue output version is also available, providing two programmable outputs.
