Alarms and Alerts!

If something goes wrong – you need to know about it and the alarms package in MeterWeb 2 is designed to ensure that you do. As well as the essential fully configurable data loss alarm which warns if a meter or any other data stream goes down, the highly configurable alerts offered within the software also provide:

• Threshold alerts by half hour, by meter or groups
• Excess load alert (availability exceeded)
• Cost exceeded by half hour, by meter or group
• Profile Alarms by meter or group

However, whilst a properly designed alarms package is an essential element of M&T software, we also know that set up can be tricky. The difference between drowning in alarm warnings and missing an important anomaly can be a fine line, so our setup routines include a preview option based on historical data to ensure that thresholds are set in ‘the Goldilocks Zone’ so you only get the alarms that matter, right from Day One. Alarm notification is via an individually tailored email list, so the right people get the right alarms automatically.
